Volunteering

Impact is a 100% volunteer-run organization. We rely on the energy and talents of a diverse group of committed women and welcome all members to get involved in any capacity that best suits their time and interests. In sharing your skills with us, we can offer you a rewarding opportunity to meet new friends while serving our community.  On this page you can learn about the various volunteer opportunities within our organization. The Heart of Our Work

Focus Area Committees & Grant Reviews

Impact 100 members may choose to serve on Focus Area Committees to review grant applications and participate in a thorough vetting process that leads to recommending finalists. Interested volunteers are asked to complete a FAC Interest Form in May and are notified of their FAC placement by early June.  The process of reviewing grant applications takes place between June and October, with one training session and three virtual meetings as well as site visits to selected applicants. Grant work culminates with finalist selections in November.

2020 FAC Volunteer placement is complete but we hope you will consider serving on a FAC in 2021!

Overview of Our Volunteer Teams

Membership Team

Help raise awareness for Impact 100 by planning and attending gatherings and meeting potential new members. Recommend friends and colleagues who might be interested in joining as a member, host or co-host a membership drive event. Help follow up with member prospects.  Support Member Operations with member data entry, analytics and reporting.

Grants Team

Support our annual grants process by joining or leading a Focus Area Committee.  Assist with other grant support activities such as Nonprofit outreach and communications, grantee follow-up, grant software support and reporting, or general management of the grants process and annual planning.

Marketing & Communications Team

Coordinate overall communications with members, prospective members and our broader community. Share your talents and assist with content development and editing, writing press releases, creating social media posts, share your expertise with graphic design, video editing, or photography.

Events Team

Share your creative skills and help us plan and execute both virtual and in-person events throughout the year. Events include our Annual Meeting in November and The Big Reveal Membership Reception in April as well as smaller member enrichment events throughout the year.  Provide assistance with securing sponsorships to help underwrite our event costs.

Operations Team

Help our organization run efficiently. Offer accounting, legal, or technology support. Coordinate our volunteer effort by helping members find roles that match their interests and talents. You could also join the “One and Done Team” and assist throughout the year on one time tasks or projects such as stuffing envelopes or data entry.
