To date Impact 100 Jersey Coast has awarded $391,000 in grants to high-impact projects!
In 2017 we awarded two grants of $123,000 to support the following high-impact projects.
Covenant House New Jersey is using its grant to help provide a clean, safe housing space in Asbury Park for homeless and at-risk youth while offering them the skills, habits and guidance they need to succeed on their own.
The Mental Health Association of Monmouth County (MHAMC) is using its grant to deliver the Lifelines program to 50 new Monmouth County schools to combat the growing epidemic of teen suicide. Lifelines trains faculty members, administrators and the wider community using a proven model of youth suicide prevention, intervention and postvention that builds resilience and creates safety nets for those at risk.
Impact’s inaugural grant of $145,000 to 180 Turning Lives Around funded the creation of a Family Justice Center (FJC) at the Monmouth County Courthouse in Freehold. The FJC enables 180 Turning Lives Around to coordinate trauma-recovery, child and adult mental health services and housing/financial/legal support services in a streamlined manner in one location. Based on a national model proven to reduce victim homicides and increase abuser conviction rates, the FJC will also strengthen prevention efforts, hold offenders accountable and reduce repeat offenses.
